The Early Childhood Division of The Awty International School is a completely bilingual Division, French/English or Spanish/English, containing the following:
Three year old Section, Four year old Section and Kindergarten Section.
The overall aim of the Early Childhood Division is to encourage and support the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of each child through developmentally appropriate activities in two languages in which the child is or becomes fluent.
Lower School
The curriculum in the International Section of the Lower School is designed to provide a firm foundation in the areas of Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, French or Spanish language, Computer, Fine Arts, and
Physical Education. Students write in cursive and work one grade ahead in math.
The Awty Lower School is piloting the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) during the school year 2003-2004 pending further implementation in August 2004.
The Lower School faculty is dedicated to providing individual attention and establishing a warm and supportive learning environment.
